ISLAND doctors have appealed to residents to take part in the NHS consultations over the future provision of medical services on Cumbrae.

In a letter to the Largs & Millport Weekly News Dr Jim Bryson of the current medical practice has warned that provision will change when he and his wife, Liz, also a GP, retire.

The couple have asked Ayrshire and Arran NHS to carry out an assessment of the needs of Millport and two consultation groups will start work in January.
